She has reportedly bagged the role of the female lead in Sallu’s next film Sher Khan with brother Sohail.
A source revealed to Mumbai Mirror that Salman was keen to have either his ex-girlfriend and current co-star of Katrina Kaif or a completely new female lead for Sher Khan.
The source explained, ” Katrina and Salman will be working together for the next six months on Ek Tha Tiger. And so, it seemed more practical to have a new face opposite Salman in Sher Khan. Since Angela has been waiting a long time for a break in the industry, the actor thought that Sher Khan would be a good starting point for her career.”
Reportedly, Angela will have to undergo rigorous training in martial arts and action skills to get into her athletic character. Apparently, director Sohail has roped in special international trainers to get the debutante actress ready for her role.
The source added, “The film, which goes on floors in January 2012, will be shot at some of the most exotic locations in the world. Sohail is currently finalising locations to shoot the film.”
When contacted, Sohail said, “Yes I’ve met her. I will decide once the script is totally complete.” Angela’s business manager told Mumbai Mirror, “We’ve been asked not to say anything about it.”
Salman wants the 3D effects in Sher Khan to be “wor...ld-class.” He has therefore asked his brother to get suitably informed and educated in the technique. Sohail will now be heading to the US to get a hang of the technique.
Sohail says, “As we’ve now decided to make Sher Khan in proper 3D, I need to educate myself about the technique. So we’ve postponed the film to January-February 2012.”
Ek Tha Tiger
The shooting of Salman Khan starrer Ek Tha Tiger took place in the high security Parliament Street area in Delhi on Saturday. The film, being directed by Kabir Khan, also stars actor Katrina Kaif. While Salman’s scenes are being shot at various locations in Central Delhi over the weekend, the Delhi schedule does not feature Katrina as yet.
Ek Tha Tiger marks the entry of Salman in the Yashraj Films banner, known to be a strong bastion of rival Shah Rukh Khan. The film, in which Salman is tipped to play a secret agent, was earlier shot in five countries, including Ireland and Turkey
